The Pastor
In 1990, a north wind blew Raymond Hall in from the plains of western Kansas. After graduating from Oral Roberts University and Asbury Theological Seminary, he served as a United Methodist pastor in Kansas from 1978 to 1989, then moved to Valley View, TX. Ray and his wife, Joyce, have two beautiful daughters.

The Body
Cross Timbers Church is an independent, non-denominational church that was established in 1977.  The services are centered around contemporary worship and application of the Word of God into daily life.  Meeting the personal needs of individuals is important to us, so we spend time creating relationships through small groups and ministries. We are a family, and God is at the center.

Location
Cross Timbers Church is located in the southwest corner of Cooke County in far north central Texas east of Valley View.  (Directions can be found on the Contact Page.)   Lately, the DFW metroplex has taken a decided turn towards the north, and the Cross Timbers area is growing by leaps and bounds (but we still have plenty of beautiful timber around.)

CTC Core Values: Our core values are what we stress throughout our activities.
The two core values of CTC are Worship and Missions.

Worship
Cross Timbers Church is a congregation of worshipers
who worship the Lord with all our being.

John 4:21-24    Jesus declared, "Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."

Matthew 22:37-38    Jesus replied, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." This is the first and greatest commandment."

Missions
Cross Timbers Church is a people who bear witness throughout the world
of the life-changing power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Matthew 28:19-20    Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age.

Acts 1:8    But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

CTC Purpose:   CTC exists for the fellowship, encouragement and equipping of believers so that each person is able to effectively share the love of Jesus with their neighbors and the world.

CTC Vision:          To raise up spiritually significant people!
(These people are marked by passion in their love for the Lord
and obedient to those things God has spoken unto them.)
